A FUNDRAISING afternoon with live music at Pocklington Methodist Church helped raise hundreds of pounds for charity.
Buckrose Concert Band played a selection of light music at the church in front of an audience of 80 people.
Tea and homemade cakes were saved during the interval and a tombola was also held.
The event raised £525.48 for the PSP Association, which supports people with the rare degenerative brain disease Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and the related disease Cortico Basal Degeneration (CBD) and those who care for them.
PSP fundraiser Michael Shepherd, who lost his wife to the illness, said: “Everyone had a really great time of music, fellowship, care, happiness, love and it was a sunny day, also.
“With the large number of people we had just enough cake and the tombola was cleaned right out.”
