What a fantastic time was had by all as we toured Belgium. Starting with The Last Post at Menin Gate, Ypres, then onto Brussells and finally Ostend. What a fantastic evening was had by all. With over 150 in the audience from age 4 upwards, the applause and shouts of ‘encore’ were amazing. Some lovely cakes baked by band members, family and friends to sell on the night as well as an impressive raffle. thanks to all those helpers, especially Ann who went the extra mile to get those tea spoons! After the disappointment of the event not being held in Beverley, we have booked Driffield School North Hall for the event on the same evening. So if you bought tickets for the other event why not get a refund and come to the new event. Tickets will be £5 or £3.50 for concessions which will include tea or coffee and biscuits. Due to low ticket numbers being sold, the At The Proms concert has been cancelled. However, if you need a band to play Proms music – we are ready!
We have been booked for the Bridlington Arts Festival. We have extended our repertoire. This will be one of the first opportunities to enjoy some of our new music.
Having spoken to a few people about the weather, we’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not that bad- yet! Band still on unless it gets worse. As always, if you don’t feel up to driving then don’t come- no point risking yourselves (or your sanity), Becca xx Ignore that! It’s cancelled 🙁
